San Antonio (June 5, 2012) – Zachry Holdings, Inc.-sponsored NASCAR driver David Starr and the Arrington Racing team will head to Starr’s home state of Texas with the No. 81 Zachry Toyota Tundra for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) WinStar World Casino 400 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Ft. Worth, Friday, June 8, 2012.
Starr remains at 14th in points for the season and finished in 14th place during last week’s Lucas Oil 200 at the Dover International Speedway. The race was called due to inclement weather with 53 laps remaining.
“The weather was a challenge at Dover,” Starr said. “But we are looking forward to a full and successful race in Ft. Worth on Friday. It’s always nice to come home to the Texas Motor Speedway. The support from fans here is unbelievable and the track has always been a favorite of mine.”
The track, completed in 1996, covers 1.5 miles with a banking of 24° turns, 5° straights; a frontstretch of 2,250 feet; and a backstretch of 1,330 feet.
David Starr will not only be racing in Texas this week, but also plans to visit with Zachry employees at the Sandy Creek construction project in Riesel, Texas, as well as those working at the GE construction project in Ft. Worth. Nearly 300 employees and guests plan to attend the race to support Starr and the No. 81 Zachry Toyota Tundra.
In the 2012 NCWTS season, Starr will race with primary sponsorship from longtime supporter San Antonio-based Zachry Holdings, Inc. Other sponsors throughout the seasons include, Build Your Future; Linda Rudd and Steve Hellmuth with Striping Technologies; AdvoCare; Chasco Constructors; Allegro Marinades; fentonmotors.com; and Aubrey Health Mart Pharmacy.
